About Coach Josh
In a world of video games and comfy couches, what better way to get your kids outside than to learn a new skill like skateboarding or snowboarding? I have been skateboarding and snowboarding for well over 20 years and coaching for 10+ years. I have qualified for USASA Snowboarding National Championships multiple times in the top 10 riders in the country for Men’s open class slopestyle and rail jam. I have taught countless people how to do and excel at both sports and even have one past student who is currently qualifying for the Olympic winter games 2024! I have a passion for board sports as well as teaching, so coaching is truly my calling! One session with me and you will see just how serious I take these sports and helping others enjoy them! As a professionally sponsored and endorsed athlete myself, I know what it takes to get to the top and would love to help you or your kiddos climb that mountain! Going to the skatepark or mountain alone can be overwhelming and scary, I get that, so let’s go together and learn something new!
Why get Lessons?
Skateboarding and snowboarding are very difficult to learn. Sure, you can learn it over time, but it’s going to come with countless falls and tons of trial and error to figure out! By getting lessons with a professional coach, you can bypass a lot of this and get straight to learning! Research has shown that you or your kids will learn up to 75% faster by taking private lessons! When I was competing at USASA Nationals, I was one of only a few athletes there who showed up without a coach, and the results were CLEAR!
Even having the Online lessons offered here would be a huge help to getting started. It may not be quite as good as in-person lessons, but any edge you can get in these incredibly difficult sports is one to take advantage of!
Not only were the athletes with coaches more advanced as far as skill, but their confidence was superior as well. For someone who was coach-less, the odds of beating these other athletes were very low!
